Property bargains 'to be had'

There are a number of property bargains on the market at present,
according to the chief operating officer at a UK-based mortgage
broker.
Andy Pratt from Alexander Hall said that those people who "continue
to dip their toe" into the sector will be able to find good
deals.
First-time buyers, therefore, could find that now is an ideal time
to invest in the inaugural home.
Mr Pratt continued: "The majority of people are going to wait for
three, six or nine months until they feel absolutely safe that
house prices are not going to fall dramatically again."
Another possible sign that property is becoming more affordable
comes from Paragon Mortgages, which reported this month that home
loan advisers expect to do more business in the second quarter of
2009, compared to the first three months of the year.
It has been predicted that 3.6 per cent more deals will be
completed during the period.
