Dartmoor’s last surviving pony auction takes place on Thursday 8th October at Chagford Market when over 270 ponies are due to go under the hammer.

We have experienced a tremendous level of interest from potential buyers from far and wide but with Covid 19 very much on everyone’s mind we are emphasising that this is a business event not a social occasion and are requiring everyone attending the sale to purchase a buyers number for £10 which will be refunded on the purchase of one pony by that buyer. We are also regrettably requesting that people who just want to look at the ponies stay away and no children under 16 will be allowed in.
