Rendells Report on their Sale of Cattle on Wednesday 15th April 2020

Rendells held their first sale since the Covid 19 lockdown which was permitted under strict regulations which were well adhered to.
A good entry of mainly store cattle sold to a spring fever demand with a top price of £1070 for a pair of British Blue x steers from Messrs EK & ME Burnell & Sons, Kingswear. Other entries from the same home sold to £930 for British Blue x heifers, £885 for Aberdeen Angus x steers and £815 for Aberdeen Angus x heifers.
Mr R Camp, Ashburton sold a bunch of five summer feeding South Devon steers to £780 with B & M Quantick, Newton Abbot selling a young South Devon bull for £600.
A reasonable entry of overage steers sold to a top of £915 for an Aberdeen Angus steer equating to 160ppk for CW Hayter, Haccombe.
